2011 catch up

 oh hi
I haven't blogged for like forty years, so i am going to catch you all up on my way exciting life. I will finish 2011 and do a whole new post for this year, 2012.
Ok since I last blogged many things have taken place....

Hurricane football won the state championship and my little brother was able to be a huge part of the win! He played the whole game in the snow! He caught the game ending interception and it was awesome! We didn't make it up to SLC for the game but we had a pizza party at grandma & grandpa's and watched on tv. It was so exciting!! He is number 34.

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! We closed in October i think? Anyways, it's been a blast decorating and doing projects together. We are so in love with our house. I love having a mortgage instead of wasting all our dollars on rent. whoo! It is just off Telegraph in Washington and is at the end of the cutest, quietest street.

What else happened in the Fall? oh yeah, my SIL Elizabeth left on her mission to Argentina and we miss her!

Halloween came and went... we dressed up at work :)

Scot and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary :) we went to Las Vegas and stayed in the Rio. We went on the effiel tower ride a few times and went to a show at planet hollywood.

In December my fave cousin Heidi came home from her mission in Ohio and we were reunited. I love her!

Did i happen to get any pics from Christmas at my mom's house? No of course not. I forgot!!! I also can't remember what we did for new years eve... if i can't remember it wasn't too exciting was it.

Our first year of being married has been a blast. I love Scoty! We have accomplished so much in the year 2011 together. I am most happy about our home. I love it. I am so happy we own our house and don't have to rent anymore. It's such a blessing being able to have a house at the age of 21!

Coming up next is my catch up of this year... :)

Remember me?

Yeah, I know... you don't. I suck at remembering to blog.
So, school started. bleh.
It's been busy the past couple weeks with the Sweets. I work around 30 hours a week at Mountain America and am taking two classes at the moment (tuition is expensive for poor people...). Scot works his usual 50 + hour work weeks and took this semester off to study his EMT stuff. We have been trying to get him a job at the hospital or get him on with Gold Cross.
I haven't blogged since Memorial Day... hahaha. Lots has happened since then! and of course I left our good camera with lots of pics at my In-Laws like three months ago and haven't yet gone up to get it back.

We are going up North this weekend though for my SIL's mission farewell. Liz is leaving to Argentina! She is going to do so well. She has the best personality and I see missionary work being a blast for her. My other SIL Tera had her baby, Ryker! He came a couple weeks early and we are going to attend their family sealing this weekend also.
Scot and I have been having a lot of fun together. We are approaching our one year anniversary. HOLY COW! Awesome :) What isn't awesome is all the weight gain from living with a man that hates fruits and veggies and basically anything i cook that is healthy.

Since school started that means football. My cute little brother Andy is a junior and plays on the varsity team for Hurricane. Every weekend we go watch him play and it's so much fun! He is really good. He plays usually the whole game.

My birthday was also in August and I am basically a old freakin' woman now. I turned 21 guys. My family took me out to dinner and my birthday present from Scot was getting my hair done. I couldn't live as a brunette anymore. it sucked. So I went back to blonde and I think it's much better.

We went to the rodeo this weekend. My work was a sponsor so they gave me some free tickets and we went on Saturday. It was pretty fun. I am not one for rodeos really, especially horses. Because one time I stopped to feed one that was by my house and i knelt down to get it some grass and it ate a huge chunk of my hair. So i slapped it. Horses and I have been on bad terms ever since. It was fun though, it's always nice to do something new.

I will have more pics and a better post next time from our trip this weekend. Just thought i'd update my invisible followers. :)

I will be funny next time too, I promise. I think i'm losing my hilariousness... it hurts.

memorial day weekend

For memorial day weekend we went up to WVC to play with Scoty's family.

On saturday, Scot, me, Liz, and Dallin went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and did some initatories. It was nice to go in the Temple with Elizabeth before she left on her internship to Missouri and then to her mission in Argentina!

I forgot to take pictures of the rest of our trip... but we had a BBQ, everyone went to the movie Soul Surfer, and we went SHOPPING! ... or at least I did. Yay for any mall that is not the one in St. George!

We played with Scot's neice and nephews too. We had a lot of fun.

We were really happy to be home after our trip... up North was so cold!

Well peeps, I shall see you next month ;)

Changing my name to Slacker Sweet

I really am neglecting my bloggy. Cheers to some much needed blog loving!

Perhaps I should tell you about our life since a whole month ago when I posted last, eh? Alrighty.

School is out!!! YEAAH! Scot passed his horrid math class with a B- which is honestly a blessing, because we both are terrible at math. Scot got his Associates Degree too!!! :) I did great in my classes and am all signed up for dreaded fall semester.
My litter sister graduated from high school and is now old, which makes me practically prehistoric. We went to her graduation and I got to see all my little "sisters", it was grand.

                                                               my baby sister and I
my other baby sister and I, Cheidu Nkwocha :)
                                                        Mckenna, Emily, me, and Em
mom em and dad

Scot and I decided it was about time we took our boat out for a lil test drive to kick off the summer. We brought my two little brothers and their friend... I forgot his name. But it was awesome! I was absolutely freaked out when Scot turned off the boat in the middle of the lake and told me I had to learn how to drive it.
You see, I have had horrible altercations with boats. I dislike them. and all water sports. And how i married a man that is in love with boats more than life itself, is beyond me.

So, Scot taught me how to drive and to pull wakeboarders up out of the water. My brother Andy got up on the wakeboard for a while! It was so cool to look back as i was driving and see him crusin along!

We played at the lake for a couple hours and went to my moms for pizza and a movie.

We had a blasty blast.

studying for finals... who needs it?

I WAS- A wizard in my former life. And had a talking dog sidekick. That was my best friend.

I AM- Now a married gal with the "sweetest" hubby & life I could ask for. Sweet.

I THINK-  Rarely. If ever.

I WONDER-  Why oh why are some people allowed out of their houses and wander into my place of work on days when I am fresh out of patience?

I WISH- I was a bajillionaire. Like a millionaire, but foxier.

I SAVE- Love notes my husband writes me so I can show them to our grand kids when we are 100 and still in love.

I ALWAYS- Am thinking about food. See me looking off  into space with my eyes glazed over? I am reminiscing about what I had for lunch.

I CAN'T- Do math that well. Which is funny, cause I work at a credit union. Where I am surrounded by math and decimals.

I BELIEVE- I have the greatest mother on the planet earth. She even rivals the other great mothers that inhabit different planets.

I PROMISE- To never let myself weigh over 350 lbs.

I LOVE- My husband. and jelly beans.

Easter & other tidbits

I am not really that consistent with blogging, am I? I always forget about my little blog... poor guy. (Yes, my blog is a boy.)
I guess I should fill you in on what's been going on in my not so exciting life!

Last week I helped my little sister pick out a prom dress. I also did her hair for prom and took pics of her and her date :) I never was asked to my senior prom... my good looks must have intimidated them. They didn't want me to out-shine them on prom night... or at any other dance. dangit.
Anyways.. here's some cute photos of her on the day of the dance.

I mean how could you not want to take me to a dance? My beauty is overwhelming!

Seriously.

Oh, and my little sister is taller than me.

:)

Easter was a lot of fun this year with Scoty dear. I woke up Easter morning to Scot staring at me saying, "I wonder if the Easter bunny brought you anything?"
I went into our living room and there sat an Easter basket filled with candies! & deoterant "the easter bunny is practical" and a stuffed puppy dog with bunny ears on :) I almost cried when I saw the little toy puppy. I had this awesome dream the other night-- the whole entire time I was playing with so many puppies! I was in heaven. Cause I love me a cute pup. Some people find this dream kinda weird (my coworkers) but it was the best dream of my life. Besides the one where I was queen of Disneyland.

Off topic for a sec- To satisfy my longing for cuddling an adorable doggy, I ventured over to Sue's Pet Castle on saturday and saw this little boy:

Ahh he was so cute! I almost stole him and put him in my purse.
Just kidding, Sue!

Back to our topic-
After eating a large helping of jelly beans and chocolate, we headed off to our 1 o'clock church meeting. Our ward is so gigantic, I bet there is like 800 people in relief society alone... okay exaggerating, but it is giant and I don't know a soul. It makes it seem so much longer!

We went over to my parent's house and ate even more candy from our adorable Easter baskets my mom put together and waited for my sister to get off work- yeah she had to work on Easter! We ate more food of course, and had an Easter egg hunt.

Emily wins literally every year no matter how hard my brothers and I try to beat her, she always prevails.
Until Scot came to town.
He totally won and my little brothers were so peeved! Haha, it was so much fun!

Buddy and Gus helping me :)

My little baby Gus :)

The hubster and I with our Easter baskets

We had so much fun, our first Easter being married! I can't wait for the many more holidays to come.

Well, that's about it for the Sweets... 'cept I went to the DMV today to change my name on my lisence and I dislike that place very much. Ugly people convention.

See ya.

Reunited

Guess what pals!!
My best friends that moved up north stopped by last night on their way to Las Vegas and we got to play!
I haven't seen them since the wedding which was like 41 years ago.(Yes, i have been married that long)  It was so much fun to see them again!
I'm obsessed with you girls!

We went out for sushi, which was a tradition with us... we ate sushi aaaalll the time. So, when the sushi came to our table I was quite excited because i haven't eaten it for a very long time.
I pick up a peice with my chopsticks aannd...

it was the nastiest thing i've ever eaten.

MY TASTE BUDS HAVE CHANGED
AND NO LONGER ENJOY EXTRAVAGENT RAW FISH AND SEAWEED.
I almost spit it out but I swallowed it painfully and wallowed in my newfound discovery of my dwindeling taste for "hip" cuisine.

So, I ate the rest of my fried rice and when I got home had a bowl of cereal. Yup.

I took a couple of pictures but I'm missing half of the group!
^^ me and my twin.
We have the same brain pretty much and when I had super blond hair, EVERYONE asked us if we were twins. Even though we don't look at all alike, our blond hair somehow made us siblings...we're still twins even with my brown hair and pasty skin. She is just the cooler one. :)

me, taylor and brooklyn.

I don't know where Tia, Angela, and Tasha wandered off to... I will need to steal them away soon and get some pics with them.

It was fun to be reunited and laugh with them!
Miss you girls!

Love, your married best friend
